Frequently Asked Questions
How does AIHS ensure quality services? As a designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC), and Case Management provider, AIHS has a long history of providing person-centered, high quality case management services, not only for older adults but also for people with disabilities of all ages and family caregivers. Along with strict staffing ratios and enhanced communication channels, AIHS believes training is an essential component to quality services. AIHS institutes training beyond the State orientation requirements, including training based on our accreditation standards. We also tailor trainings to what we know the community needs – we keep a pulse on what is going on locally to ensure we are providing relevant and useful training to staff such as topics that are culturally appropriate/relevant and reflect community-specific prevalence and demonstrated need Additionally - AIHS’s Quality Assurance infrastructure is designed to support compliance with the contract service levels through routine monitoring of timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of case management activities and documentation. Performance data is reviewed regularly to identify trends, address potential gaps, and reinforce accountability across the organization.
What if I need help after typical business hours? AIHS ensures 24/7 phone availability and timely response to emergencies through a structured on-call and partner-supported approach designed to provide Individuals and caregivers with continuous access to assistance, regardless of time or day. Through these processes, AIHS ensures that Individuals have continuous access to assistance, emergencies are addressed promptly and effectively, and Case Managers remain informed and engaged in follow-up care to support health, safety, and person-centered outcomes.
How is the change in Case Management provider going to impact current services? Aside from the change in Case Management provider, your plan of care will not change or be interrupted as a result of this shift.
