IT ASSISTANT

Performs activities related to IT functions, utilizing agency standards, procedures and compliance systems.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an accurate and thorough knowledge of all agency standards, procedures, and specialized computer software related to the IT functions

  • Adhere to compliance standards and regulations for agency, including any state and federal regulations

  • Set up work areas, including phones, headsets, docking stations, monitors, and printers

  • Onboard new users, including basic technology set up and use as directed

  • Install and support Microsoft Office and other client applications as directed

  • Support Cisco end user phone stations and end user voicemail

  • Develop, process and triage trouble tickets in the company helpdesk system

  • Assist with inventory tracking, hardware management, and distribution

  • Provide technical and/or IT set-up assistance for on-site and/or remote meetings and events as assigned

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting across departments as directed.

  • Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or electronically. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED and 3 years’ experience working in an IT support environment     

           

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associates degree in Information Technology and two years’ experience.

  • Training in and knowledge of HIPAA and other industry compliance.

  • Knowledge of Cisco phone systems.

 

Expected Hours of Work

This position is a full-time non-exempt position.  Agency business hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. 

 

Travel

Travel between PACE and AIHS office locations

 

Physical Demands

The individual must be able to communicate effectively with others and enable understanding by others through communication. The individual is required to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. 

 

Lifting or moving equipment such as printers, computers, monitors. Accessing areas that may be under furniture, etc.

 

Work Environment

This job is operated in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, etc.
