| Aging and In-Home
Services of Northeast Indiana, Inc. (AIHS) is a private, not-for-profit
social service organization serving seniors and persons with disabilities
of all ages since 1974. AIHS was designated by the state of Indiana as
the Area Agency on Aging for northeast Indiana serving nine counties:
Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and
Whitley. |
| The mission of AIHS
is to promote dignity, independence, and advocacy for all older adults
and persons with disabilities. |
| AIHS programs include
information and assistance, case management, home delivered and congregate
meals, family caregiver support and preventive health. |
| All services are
provided without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, disability,
national origin or ancestry. |

| Accreditation |
| AIHS
is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA). COA accreditation
attests that an organization meets the highest national standards and
is delivering the best quality services to the community it serves. |

sure that's a reality for our clients. That might include arranging in-home
nursing services, therapies, home health aides, delivering a homebound
meal, or even just providing information to an individual and their family
about what's available in their community. We work with a variety of community
service organizations who share in our solutions oriented approach toward
helping an individual achieve a more dignified, independent way of life.

| Funding
for AIHS comes from the following sources: |
| Older Americans Act,
Medicaid Waivers, Social Service Block Grant, Community and Home Options
to Institutional Care for the Elderly and Disabled (CHOICE), Private Pay
Foundation Grants and Other Public and Private Donations. |
